Anniversary Mass of Blessed Marie Eugenie PDF Print E-mail

On Thursday, February 9, 2006 the Assumption Family composed of the Little Sisters of the Assumption, Religious of the Assumption, Augustinians of the Assumption and few lay partners gathered together to celebrate the 31st anniversary of the beatification of Sister Marie Eugenie. The celebration took place at the Religious of the Assumption Emmaus Community in Manila, in the Philippines. Father Richard Lamoureux, Superior General of the Assumptionists, celebrated Mass and preached on our vocation to be the saints of today. We were about 50 and it was truly a fraternal gathering of our Assumption Family.

Fathers Bernard Holzer, Jean-Marie Chuvi Adubango and Gilles Blouin

Augustinians of the Assumption of the Manila foundation (Fathers Bernard Holzer, Jean-Marie Chuvi Adubango and Gilles Blouin, and Brothers Clemente Boleche and Alex Castro) shared with the group their vision, mission, strategies and activities. First priority is to build community and the specifics of its implication - like participating in their daily Mass TOGETHER! Each of the 5 members spoke and truly there is sign of commitment to their priority. We have witnessed this too, during their House Blessing on February 2nd where about 22 Religious of the Assumption Sisters, three Little Sisters of the Assumption and two lay friends attended. Father Richard shared too on the General Chapter 2005 priorities and answered some questions of the Sisters.
