What is Augustine House?
Augustine House is a new Assumption College housing option available to young men who wish to live together in a Christian community.
The house is located next to campus on Old English Road across from the Student Development Center. It can accommodate up to five students and one Assumptionist and features ample common space (living room, dining room, kitchen, laundry facilities, and study space).
There will be frequent interaction with the Assumptionist community at Emmanuel House for prayer, meals, and other activities.
Why Augustine House?
Augustine House exists for young men who value the spiritual dimension of their lives and are open to the possibility of the priesthood and/or religious life. It provides a strong community life, a climate of serious study, encouragement for private and common prayer, spiritual direction, and a life of apostolic service.
Augustine House will open in the fall semester of 2010 as an initiative commemorating the 200th anniversary of the birth of Fr. Emmanuel d'Alzon, the founder of the Assumptionists. Augustine House is a response to the express desire by students for a housing option that would have Christian living at its core and allow for the time and environment for discerning God's call.

You made us for yourself and our hearts find no peace until they rest in you.
